Jonathan W. Galassi (born 1949 Seattle, Washington) is an American editor, and poet. He graduated from Harvard University in 1971,〔http://www.thecrimson.com/article/1971/6/15/pbk-elections-pharvards-alpha-chapter-of/〕 and Cambridge University, with an M.A. in 1973. He was an editor at Houghton Mifflin in 1973, senior editor at Random House from 1981 to 1986, and vice-president and executive editor at Farrar, Straus and Giroux. He was named president in 2002.
